The XAIR·Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Industry Forum (Dongguan Session) convened on October 15 in Dongguan's Binhaiwan Bay Area, gathering industry experts and leading enterprises to explore AI and robotics integration for advancing the region's intelligent manufacturing capabilities.
This session highlighted Dongguan's strategic push to become an AI and robotics hub, focusing on practical applications within its strong manufacturing base and fostering partnerships to accelerate technological adoption and industrial innovation.
The forum featured multiple signing ceremonies for cooperation projects. The Dongguan University of Technology's Institute of Technological Innovation signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Dongguan branch of China Merchants Bank. Additionally, several industrial platforms, including the Binhaiwan Bay Area International Open Innovation and Entrepreneurship Community (the "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Community"), welcomed 22 innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and manufacturing companies into the Binhaiwan Bay Area.
Among the highlights was the project presented by Guangzhou Zhiyong Kaiwu Artificial Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. The company's "Navi" project, a next-generation enterprise-level intelligent team platform, received an Excellence Award at the "Maker Guangdong" AI and Robotics SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. The project was showcased in a live presentation, with plans to invest and establish operations within the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Community.
DONGGUAN ZHONGKE ZHIHUI INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. also presented their project during the forum. As a tech company focused on internet capabilities and new media, Zhongke Zhihui specializes in AI products and comprehensive industry solutions. The company introduced its interactive AI art toy, "Dr. Liang," designed to be a smart companion for children. This product features interactive encyclopedic knowledge, educational content, and companionship, aiming to become an engaging partner for children.
Currently, the Binhaiwan Bay Area is making significant strides in developing a Guangdong Innovation Development Experimental Zone for artificial intelligence and a National Application Empowerment Demonstration Zone. The area is exploring a multi-faceted development path characterized by "leading enterprises, industrial ecosystem cultivation, and innovative service support."
