On February 12, 30 tons of sugar tangerines from Heyuan, Guangdong, were exported to Kyrgyzstan after an on-site inspection by Heyuan Customs, a branch of Guangzhou Customs.

Heyuan's sugar tangerine exports have exceeded 200 tons since 2026.
With the Spring Festival approaching, Yuehu Ecological Farm in Longjie Town, Lianping County, Heyuan, is bustling with activity. In the orchards, farmers are skillfully picking and sorting the fruit. In the packaging workshop, workers are expertly selecting, packing, boxing, and labeling the fruit, with boxes of sugar tangerines ready for shipment.
Li Fangui, head of Yuehu Ecological Farm, said that since the farm exported Heyuan sugar tangerines for the first time in 2023, it has further developed international markets in Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and Russia in recent years.
Lianping County, Heyuan, has a subtropical monsoon climate with abundant sunshine and rainfall. Currently, the county has 21,000 mu (approximately 1,400 hectares) of sugar tangerine orchards, with an annual output of 32,000 tons. Since the beginning of this year, Heyuan tangerines have been exported in 11 batches, weighing 241 tons and valued at over 1.7 million yuan.
