From April 15 to 19, the first phase of the 139th Canton Fair is set to reach new heights with the debut of two specialized exhibition zones dedicated to the burgeoning low-altitude economy.
The Fair this year will feature a consumer drone zone in Hall 20.2 (Area D) and an agricultural drone zone in Hall 8.0 (Area A). This new dedicated showcase brings together industry pioneers to display a full spectrum of aerial innovations, ranging from the "eyes in the sky" for content creators to high-tech "farmhands" and urban logistics solutions.
These new zones demonstrate a leap in core technologies, including advanced flight control systems, AI-powered obstacle avoidance, and high-precision real-time Kinematic (RTK) navigation.
Rather than simple gadgets, the exhibits represent a sophisticated ecosystem where integrated flight platforms provide specialized capabilities like intelligent spraying and tethered hovering.
In the realm of consumer and industrial applications, the exhibition will also showcase how drones are expanding their role beyond simple photography to serve critical public services.
For instance, companies like CZI and Geek Bridge are redefining emergency response with portable, tethered lighting drones. These units, featuring lightweight carbon-fiber designs, can illuminate up to 8,000 square meters for an entire night—a vital tool for disaster relief and safety inspections.
Similarly, the evolution of urban mobility is on full display through innovations like Yufei Aviation's Yutu S100, an ultra-lightweight, foldable eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft that offers a glimpse into a future where personal commuting takes to the air.
The transformation is equally profound in the agricultural sector, where drones have become essential for modernizing global farming. Advanced models from manufacturers like Qifei Intelligent and Wenxin Electromechanical have moved toward total precision.
Equipped with terrain-following systems and real-time weighing technology, these drones can navigate complex orchards and hillsides with ease, automating the once-laborious tasks of seeding, spraying, and fertilizing with unprecedented accuracy.
As these technologies continue to mature and find new applications in logistics, firefighting, and environmental protection, the Canton Fair serves as the premier platform for the global audience to see how the next generation of unmanned flight is being built today.
