Construction of a major affordable housing complex in Huicheng High-tech Zone, Huizhou, reached a milestone on October 31 as the project's main structure was topped out—two months ahead of schedule.

The complex when completed in September 2026 will provide 300 affordable apartments for local employees to rent.
Located in the Xialiang area (下良片区), the 102-million-yuan project covers 7,100 square meters and includes 12 residential floors, a basement level, community facilities, and parking for both cars and bicycles.
Green spaces, leisure areas, and a community canteen are also planned.

Local officials said the project will help ease housing pressure, improve local infrastructure, and support the growth of surrounding enterprises.
"Affordable housing is a key part of Huicheng's plan to create a better living environment for workers and strengthen business confidence," said Zheng Hui, Chairman of Huizhou Xinhuicheng Investment Co., Ltd.
"The topping-out marks another solid step toward achieving a livable, worker-friendly community within the high-tech zone," he added.
