GG Bond, a popular red pig character from China's Guangdong province, is expected to expand into new international markets next year, including Russia, Malaysia, Singapore, and South Korea. The famous character was showcased in Tokyo on October 10 at the "New Dimensions of Guangdong Animation and Trendy Toys Exhibition."
At the exhibition in Tokyo, GG Bond blind boxes and toys attracted large crowds. "GG Bond's design is so adorable, especially the kung fu elements," said a student.
First aired in 2005, GG Bond follows the adventures of a clever little pig who uses wit and martial arts skills to protect his friends. The mix of comedy, action, and moral lessons has made it a household name among Chinese children. It is now one of China's longest-running 3D animation series and has been broadcast in more than 60 countries and regions.
