On December 23, the South Heyuan Channel officially went live. In collaboration with the Nanfang Media Group (Nanfang Daily), Heyuan has established a new platform for international communication and a fresh window to global audiences. It aims to enhance its presence on the global stage as it strives for new heights in green development and shares its vibrant energy with the world.

Heyuan plays a crucial role as an ecological shield in Guangdong Province, with its natural environment serving as the city's defining feature and greatest asset. As the "High-quality Development Project for Guangdong Counties, Towns and Villages" progresses, Heyuan has continued to strengthen its ecological advantages, revitalize its urban and rural areas, and make steady headway in the development of "Rural Maker Pilot Zones."
The launch of the South Heyuan Channel will create a direct digital bridge to overseas audiences for Heyuan City, also known as "evergreen Heyuan," the "ancient Hakka town," and the "hometown of dinosaurs." It will showcase Heyuan's progress under the "High-quality Development Project for Guangdong Counties, Towns and Villages" and its major innovative achievements, such as the development of Rural Maker Pilot Zones, while telling inspiring stories about building a green Heyuan and the "Lake+" green development zone around Wanlv Lake.

Looking ahead, the Nanfang Media Group will work closely with the Heyuan Municipal Party Committee, Heyuan Municipal Government, and relevant departments to develop the South Heyuan Channel into a digital bridge for projecting Heyuan's positive voice and showcasing its new image, jointly exploring a "Heyuan model" for building international communication capacity in ecological cities.
