On October 17, the 2025 Hengli Town Fresh Corn Traceability Event kicked off at the Corn and Cherry Tomato Demonstration Base in Nansha, Guangzhou. Over 200 participants — including students, farming experts, live-streamers, and residents — joined the field activities, while the online livestream attracted nearly 200,000 views.

The event showcased distinctive corn varieties such as "Snow White," "Black Beauty," "Dandy," and "Golden Full House," along with musk melons and other local produce, highlighting Hengli's agricultural strengths. Located beside the 15-acre Xingsheng Sweet Corn Cooperative field, the demonstration base spans 21 acres, producing 78.2 tons annually with an output value of over 450,000 yuan.
The "Youth–Rural Public Welfare E-Commerce Live Streaming Practice Incubation Base" was inaugurated that day. The base will provide systematic e-commerce training, empowering young people to support rural revitalization through professional live-streaming and practical incubation, helping farmers master digital marketing and expand sales channels.
To help more people understand and appreciate Hengli corn, the site also served as a "natural classroom." Agricultural experts guided participants through hands-on lessons covering the full growth cycle — from sowing and care to harvesting and tasting — offering an immersive experience of fresh corn cultivation.
