The application period for multiple 2025 annual talent subsidies in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin is set to close on December 31, 2025.

A series of five specific subsidy programs are designed to foster talent development between Hengqin and Macao and enhance the skills of industrial youth, with personal annual subsidies reaching up to 150,000 yuan and employer support caps set as high as 3 million yuan.
The subsidies available during this concentrated application phase include the Hengqin-Macao joint talent training living subsidy, the industrial youth skills enhancement subsidy, the subsidy for supporting Macao professionals in cross-border practice, the subsidy for collaborative talent introduction with Macao, and the flexible talent recruitment subsidy.
Specifically, under the Hengqin-Macao joint talent training living subsidy, postdoctoral supervisors from Macao universities who guide postdoctoral researchers at designated stations within Hengqin are eligible for a 20,000 yuan living subsidy per supervisee. Each supervisor can receive a maximum of 60,000 yuan annually, with each station limited to subsidizing no more than ten supervisors per year.
Furthermore, postdoctoral researchers and PhD students from Macao universities who are stationed short-term in Hengqin for research or achievement transformation can receive monthly living subsidies of 5,000 yuan and 4,000 yuan, respectively, for a period not exceeding six months, disbursed in a lump sum after the assignment.
The annual industrial youth skills enhancement subsidy offers in-service youth pursuing doctoral degrees in strategic fields such as integrated circuits, biomedicine, and artificial intelligence at Macao universities a subsidy equivalent to 30 percent of their total tuition fees, capped at 150,000 yuan. This tuition support applies only to course fees within the standard study period and is disbursed in equal annual installments over two years.
Meanwhile, the annual subsidy for supporting Macao professional talent in cross-border practice provides a one-time subsidy of 30,000 yuan for obtaining one professional practice qualification, with a maximum of 60,000 yuan for those with multiple qualifications.
