Longzi Expressway, part of the Guangdong Provincial Communication Group Company Limited, recently announced the launch of the Huangcun Service Area renovation project. Set to become Guangdong's first dinosaur-themed service area, the project is slated for completion by the end of this year.

Located in Huangcun Town, Dongyuan County, Heyuan City—known as the "Hometown of the Dinosaur in China"—the service area is surrounded by significant paleontological resources, including dinosaur egg fossils, skeletal fossils, and footprint fossils.

The renovation aims to establish the Huangcun Service Area as a distinctive transportation landmark. By incorporating a dinosaur theme, the project seeks to enhance awareness of the region's geological heritage and cultural tourism appeal.
Design plans reveal a service area packed with dinosaur-themed features, such as a themed exhibition hall, a creative dinosaur-themed shop, life-sized dinosaur replicas, fossil-inspired seating, and footprint models. Inside the exhibition hall, visitors can explore displays of fossil replicas and enjoy multimedia installations, QR code-guided audio tours, and interactive educational content about dinosaurs.
