Hengqin to implement traffic and no-fly controls during 15th National Games road cycling race

The road cycling event of the 15th National Games will be held across Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao from November 7 to 9. To ensure the smooth running of the event, traffic control measures and no-fly regulations will be implemented on some roads in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.

During this period, the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge will be temporarily closed. While the closure is in effect, traffic on the main bridge will be suspended, and port entry and exit services will be temporarily halted.

It is important to note that traffic control on the roads surrounding the bridge port will be implemented in phases, starting at 7:45 on the event days. Travelers heading to Hong Kong or Macao are advised to plan their routes in advance.

Furthermore, to ensure low-altitude airspace security in Zhuhai and Hengqin during the event, a no-fly regulation for low, slow, small (LSS) air vehicles has been announced.

LSS air vehicles refer to low-altitude, slow-speed, small air vehicles and airborne objects, specifically those flying below 1,000 meters, at speeds less than 200 km/h, with a radar cross-section below 2 square meters, such as helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, gliders, delta wings, powered delta wings, hot air balloons, Kongming lanterns, and more.

Residents and tourists are urged to plan their trips in advance, avoid the event-related road sections, detour, and consider traveling during off-peak hours. Relevant production and transportation enterprises and personnel are advised to adjust work schedules accordingly, avoid the controlled periods, or plan detour routes in advance.
