Yunfu recorded an air quality excellence rate of 94.5% during the first six months of 2025, surpassing Guangdong provincial average and ranking 9th in the province, according to the latest report by the Yunfu Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment.
No days of heavy or severe pollution were reported in the first half of the year. All six key air pollutants remained within China's national secondary standards for the eighth consecutive year. Notably, the city's average ozone concentration was 139 micrograms per cubic meter—better than the provincial average and ranking 5th in Guangdong.
Regarding water quality, the Yunfu section of the Xijiang River maintained Class II standards. All four national monitoring sections in the city achieved excellent water quality, with 75% classified as Class I or II.
In terms of soil quality, the safe utilization rate of key construction land has remained at 100% for four consecutive years.
