Huizhou's Huicheng welcomes over one million tourists during national day holiday

During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays from October 1 to 8, Huicheng District in Huizhou City welcomed approximately 1.005 million tourist visits, including around 122,000 overnight stays—a year-on-year increase of 9.8%.

During this period, various locations in Huicheng District hosted special activities, featuring over 50 cultural, tourism, and sports events. Tourists primarily visited attractions such as Xihu Scenic Area (西湖景区), Honghuahu Scenic Area (红花湖景区), the Botanical Garden, Qianhuazhou (千花洲), and Shizicheng Town (狮子城).

To accommodate the holiday travel peak, more than 1,100 parking spaces—including the ground parking lot at the Huicheng District Administrative Service Center and the underground lots at the district's Cultural Center, Library, and Youth Palace—were opened free of charge to residents and tourists. Statistics indicate that from October 2 to 8, these parking facilities recorded a total of 6,302 free vehicle/parking instances.
