Guangzhou's Jiaomenhe International Neighborhood unveils new logo and mascot

Jiaomenhe International Neighborhood in Nansha, Guangzhou, one of the INFO Guangdong International Community Information Service Centers, unveiled its new logo and mascot named "JOY" on October 26.

The launch took place at the "2025 Nansha GBA Street Dance Competition", which gathered top dancers from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Huizhou, Hong Kong, and Macao.

The new logo, inspired by the initials "JMH" (for Jiaomenhe), features bright geometric shapes in yellow, blue, green, purple, and pink to represent the community's diversity and openness.

The mascot "JOY" draws inspiration from Nansha's waterways. With its blue gradient color, water-drop details, and cheerful smile, JOY embodies friendliness, energy, and an international vibe.

In the future, both the logo and JOY will appear in public spaces around the neighborhood, including parks, shopping areas, and LED screens, and will be featured in creative products to highlight the block's unique culture.

In recent years, Jiaomen has been working to make life easier for international residents. It has added bilingual signs throughout the area and upgraded its community service hall and 24-hour service station to offer Chinese and English support.

To help foreign and Hong Kong-Macao–Taiwan residents feel at home, Jiaomenhe also hosts Chinese classes, language exchange meetups, policy info sessions, and cultural tours around Nansha.

An international volunteer team with more than 50 members now helps connect people from different cultures, fostering a friendly and inclusive community in Nansha.
