The 2025 doctoral recruitment series, featuring a session on the advanced technology industry, recently concluded in Nansha, Guangzhou. The event reinforced the district's commitment to building a high-level talent hub.

Since its inception, the initiative has organized 25 overseas recruitment events, attracting over 1,000 domestic and international doctoral candidates. Nine invitation-based inspection tours have brought more than 200 doctoral students and supervisors to Nansha, resulting in nearly 20 doctors and their projects settling in the district.

The delegation featured an impressive lineup, including scholars from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and France's Université Paris-Saclay, along with postdocs from Peking University, Tsinghua University, and other top mainland institutions. Their expertise spans AI, computer science, aquaculture, biomedicine, and modern agriculture.

Tailored policy packages were highlighted: postdoctoral researchers can receive at least 1.26 million yuan in government subsidies, while entrepreneurs may qualify for up to 1 million yuan in support for returning scholars and 300,000 yuan in startup funding.
