These popular Chinese brands all come from Zhanjiang

When talking about Zhanjiang City, people usually picture its fresh seafood and beautiful coastal scenery. Yet few realize this seaside city has also nurtured a group of highly competitive domestic brands. LINLEE Lemon Tea, KAILAS, and UR are prime examples.

KAILAS

KAILAS' core products are mountain climbing equipment. There's a saying among mountain climbing enthusiasts: you can see a lot of KAILAS tents wherever you go in a mountaineering base camp. The brand's founder, Zhong Chengzhan, is from Zhanjiang.

UR

The eye-catching UR logo and black-and-gold store design make UR stores ubiquitous in major shopping malls across China. Many people consider UR to be either a 'fashion brand originating from France' or a 'brand from Hong Kong.' In fact, Li Mingjiang, a native of Zhanjiang, founded UR in 2006. By 2025, UR is expected to have over 400 stores worldwide, with a global presence in Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, and other markets.

LINLEE Lemon Tea

A cup of lemon tea paired with a cute little yellow duck—this eye-catching combo is a familiar sight you've probably seen on the streets in China. It represents the local tea brand 'LINLEE Lemon Tea,' which originated in Zhanjiang.

LINLEE's story began in Zhanjiang. In 2019, the brand opened its first flagship store in Changdachang Chain Mart, Xiashan District, introducing its signature handmade lemon tea as the inaugural product.

On July 18, 2020, the brand expanded from Zhanjiang to Guangzhou, marking its nationwide market entry. Today, LINLEE has grown to over 1,900 stores, becoming a new force in the country's tea beverage industry.
