Yunfu-based company makes 2025 China Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises list

The 2025 World Manufacturing Convention was held in Hefei, China, on September 20. At the opening ceremony, the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Enterprise Directors Association released the list of 2025 China's Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises.

The list shows that 47 Guangdong enterprises made the cut, ranking fourth among all provinces. Among these 47 enterprises, Huawei and BYD entered the top 10, placing 4th and 6th, respectively. Wens Foodstuff Group Co., Ltd., located in Xinxing County, Yunfu City, made the list with a revenue of RMB 104.924 billion, ranking 124th.

Wens Foodstuff Group is a locally grown enterprise in Xinxing, Yunfu. It was founded in 1983 by seven households pooling resources with RMB 8,000 in capital.

In 2024, the company's marketed volumes of broiler chickens and pigs both reached record highs. With total operating revenue exceeding RMB 100 billion for the first time, it achieved a net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company of RMB 9.0–9.5 billion, making it China's fifth agribusiness enterprise to surpass the RMB 100 billion mark and Yunfu's first enterprise to exceed that revenue threshold. At the same time, it spurred cooperation with about 43,000 farming households, achieving aggregate returns of RMB 11.843 billion.

Wens has been continuously exploring industrial transformation and upgrading. In terms of technological innovation, it has increased investment in biological breeding, smart farming, and digital transformation, developing and promoting smart inspection robots, automatic feeding systems, and other equipment, pushing traditional agriculture toward automation and intelligence.

In terms of industrial integration, it has accelerated coordinated development across livestock, ingredients, and food business segments. Regarding green transformation, it has invested in and merged with Yikang Ecological Environment Technology Group Co., Ltd to enhance the utilization of livestock waste resources.

Data show that since its listing at the end of 2015, Wens' revenue has doubled.
