The Shantou Cross-border Digital Economy Industrial Park will be officially launched on May 30. Located in Xinxi Town of East Coast New Town, the park covers a planned area of 60 hectares. With cross-border data flow as its core engine, it will consist of seven major sections, including a cross-border digital economy pilot test base, a digital technology innovation park, and the Shenzhen-Shantou Science and Technology Park, among others, creating a full-chain innovation ecosystem of "R&D–pilot testing–incubation–industrialization."
Multiple leading digital economy enterprises will sign contracts to establish themselves in the park during the launch ceremony. The Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Cooperation Experimental Zone will also host the "Global Key Regional Computing Power Industry Inspection Annual Tour (Shantou)" supply and demand matchmaking event to further build a closed-loop ecosystem integrating "technological R&D–scenario application–industrial transformation."
As the first cross-border digital economy industrial park in eastern Guangdong, the Shantou Cross-border Digital Economy Industrial Park will leverage the policy advantages of the Shantou Overseas Experimental Zone. Focusing on new-generation information technology and driving progress through both industrial digitalization and digital industrialization, it will explore innovations in cross-border data flow mechanisms and promote the integration of digital trade rules, thereby injecting core momentum into the full-chain development of the digital economy in eastern Guangdong.
