Yunan Shatangju tangerines make first direct export to Singapore

On January 19, a refrigerated truck carrying 25 tons of premium Shatangju tangerines departed from Yunan County in Yunfu City, Guangdong Province, for Singapore, marking the first independent export by local enterprises since obtaining official customs certification for citrus processing plants in late December 2025.

At the processing facility, standardized procedures including washing, sorting and packaging are carried out. The enterprise has since established a full export qualification system linking plantation bases with processing plants, with an annual export capacity of over 1,000 tons, allowing it to independently handle overseas orders with greater efficiency and logistical flexibility.

Today, citrus products from Yunan County are sold in markets including Singapore, Canada and Australia. The transition from intermediary-based exports to independently managed international supply chains highlights the growing global reach of local agriculture.
