On March 28, the 8th Yingde Black Tea First Plucking Festival of 2026 kicked off at the Hongqi Tea Factory in Qingyuan, attracting numerous visitors eager to taste the spring harvest of Yingde black tea. At the booth of Yingde City Gengyun Tea Industry Co., Ltd., Sofia, an international student from Russia studying at South China Normal University, enjoyed the fresh spring tea together with her friends.
"I have loved drinking tea since I was a child. Last year, I came to Yingde for a visit and made some friends. They were very warm-hearted, and thanks to them, I fell in love with Yingde black tea," Sofia shared. She said that Yingde black tea is incredibly delicious, and she brought some back to Russia, where her family also loved it. Sofia added that this is her second time visiting Yingde, and she is captivated by the beautiful mountains and lakes. She really likes the city and said she would visit often whenever she has the chance.
