The "Celebrating China's National Day, Enduring Vietnam-China Friendship—Dialogue on the New Era: 2026 Vietnam-China Media Exchange Meeting," an exchange for young Chinese and Vietnamese media professionals, was held at the China Cultural Center in Hanoi, Vietnam, on September 29. Working with the South International Communication Center (South) and the Guangxi International Communication Center (GXICC), IP Guangdong used lively, engaging presentations to introduce many young Vietnamese attendees to Guangdong's distinctive sights, fun experiences and flavors.
At the "Splendid Guangdong and Guangxi: Mountains and Seas Aglow" photography exhibition, IP Guangdong presented 40 selected photographs from Better with Time: The 2026 Guangdong Album. Organized around four themes—"Urban Charm," "Mountains and Seas," "Renewal and Innovation" and "Folk Customs"—the images showcased Guangdong's development, natural landscapes, innovative energy and rich cultural heritage, giving guests a glimpse of Lingnan's unique charm.
Thoughtfully arranged throughout the gallery, the 40 photographs drew many Vietnamese guests who stopped to take a closer look.
Among them, "2026 Guangzhou Bai'etan Fireworks Display," a photograph by IP Guangdong creator Ye Wenhao, left a particularly strong impression on Fan Hemei, a Vietnamese student at Foreign Trade University.

Fan Hemei recalled visiting Guangzhou, Guangdong, in July this year and spending four days exploring Canton Tower, Shamian Island, Beijing Road and Yongqing Fang. Expressing a fondness for the city, she said the photograph had inspired her desire to return. Having heard that fireworks displays in China could be spectacular, especially during the Spring Festival each year, she hoped to visit Guangzhou again and see the Bai'etan fireworks display in person.

Another Vietnamese student at Foreign Trade University, Ruan Qingli, was intrigued by Shenzhen Bay, a photograph by IP Guangdong creator Huang Xiaonan. She explained that her hometown was by the sea, with fishing boats forming the coastal scenery and no high-rises. Seeing the modern, bustling scene of Shenzhen Bay in the photograph had made her eager to visit Shenzhen.
At the "Guangdong Goods Go Global" exhibition, IP Guangdong teamed up with South to present a diverse range of distinctive Guangdong-made products, showcasing the vitality and unique appeal of the province's manufacturing sector.

Young Vietnamese attendee Nguyễn Huy Định tried a wireless smart guitar at the venue and was immediately captivated. He said he had never seen such a product before, had quickly learned how to use it and had found it fun. He considered many Chinese products very modern and was particularly impressed by Guangdong's high-tech products. He hoped to visit Guangdong one day and experience them firsthand.
Many young Vietnamese media professionals also tried out the distinctive Guangdong products. Ruan Jinlai, a journalist with the Vietnamese online newspaper VTC News, said she had previously learned about the many AI glasses models introduced in China that could translate multiple languages, and had finally had an opportunity to try a pair. Wearing Guangdong-made RayNeo AI glasses, she used them to translate between Vietnamese and Chinese in real time and praised the quality of the translations. She believed that the tool could help users understand many foreign languages and make it easier to communicate with people around the world.
The "Guangdong Goods Go Global" exhibition also featured a wide range of designer toys and collectible figurines from Dongguan and Shantou, along with Guangdong-made treats, including candies, pastries and drinks. All were warmly received by the guests.
For these young Vietnamese visitors, Guangdong's sights, fun experiences and flavors have kindled a longing to explore Lingnan and will sow the seeds of friendship across mountains and seas.
