Recently, Ms. Wang became the first resident in Huicheng District of Huizhou to use a government-issued housing voucher to purchase a property—a commercial shop in the Wenling Xidi Garden complex in downtown Huizhou. This marks the district's first successful redemption and settlement using the housing voucher scheme for resettlement.
Ms. Wang's previous home in Hushan Village, Henan'an Subdistrict, was part of a municipal project acquisition area. She expressed strong interest upon learning about Huicheng's housing voucher policy. "On one hand, staff from the Henan'an Subdistrict Office explained the policy to me, which made me feel reassured. On the other hand, using the voucher also comes with financial benefits, making it a very cost-effective option," Ms. Wang said.
Notably, in addition to the compensation equity value, Ms. Wang received several hundred thousand yuan as a bonus for using the housing voucher. She also benefited from tax incentives on the purchase. The developer further provided her with a complimentary terrace of approximately 200 square meters, waived one year of property management fees, and allocated 4 to 5 dedicated parking spaces for the shop's use.
To date, over 190 housing voucher beneficiaries are in the process of selecting and purchasing properties.
