Guangzhou's Chimelong Paradise launched its highly anticipated new attraction, featuring the world's first "rotating dual-lift" system on December 20. This innovative ride also integrates the park's original IP, "The Adventures of Kaka Tiger," delivering a fully immersive storytelling experience.
With the opening of the new ride, the park has now introduced six major new attractions in 2025—including a launch coaster and a super pirate ship—forming a diverse portfolio that caters to all ages and thrill preferences, from mild to extreme.
Breaking away from the traditional straight vertical lift used in classic log flume rides, the rotating dual-lift mechanism carries riders on an adventure boat through a themed drifting segment before ascending on a spinning platform to a height of 21.5 meters. The ride then continues with a glide and a thrilling drop, enhancing both suspense and excitement.
Significant technical upgrades distinguish Super Rapids from earlier generations of water rides. Its track has been extended to 336 meters, more than double the previous 165 meters, while the maximum height has increased from 15 meters to 21.5 meters (equivalent to a seven-story building), generating greater momentum for the final plunge. The ride also reaches a top speed of 64.4 km/h, resulting in a powerful splash finale.
The attraction is deeply embedded in the narrative of "The Adventures of Kaka Tiger," inviting guests to explore a mysterious underground mine pool and an abandoned research base. Following clues left by the adventurer "Kaka," riders journey through misty waterways, becoming active participants in the story.
Through detailed theming, animatronics, and special effects, Super Rapids creates a cohesive and engaging adventure, transforming guests from spectators into part of the narrative.
