Huizhou's 'Little Giant' enterprises reach 69 with addition of 11 national-level firms

Specialized, refined, and innovative "Little Giant" enterprises serve as pioneers in the development of small and medium-sized businesses. Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the seventh batch of such "Little Giant" enterprises. Huizhou has added 11 newly recognized "Little Giant" enterprises, including Guangdong Liwang High-Tech Co., Ltd., based in Huicheng District.

Liwang High-Tech primarily engages in the research and development, production, and sales of electronic transformers and inductive magnetic components, with products mainly used in consumer electronics, new energy, and other fields. In recent years, the company has experienced rapid growth and urgently needed to expand its capacity. In May 2023, Liwang High-Tech acquired land in the Huicheng High-Tech Zone to build a new industrial park. In February 2025, the industrial park officially began operations.

In recent years, Huicheng District has focused on the real economy and prioritized the manufacturing sector. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), Huicheng District's economic output led the city in crossing the 100-billion-yuan threshold. Its industrial foundation has been continuously strengthened, with three leading industrial clusters—new-generation electronic information, equipment manufacturing, and new energy and new materials—each surpassing the 100-billion-yuan mark.
