Recently, a batch of bamboo-weaving products from Xinyi, Maoming, was shipped overseas through cross-border e-commerce, allowing more international consumers to experience the charm of traditional Chinese handicrafts.

For over a century, local villagers have relied on bamboo for their livelihoods. Known as "intangible heritage at the fingertips," bamboo weaving involves meticulous steps such as splitting, hammering, and braiding bamboo strips to create exquisite handcrafted items. This craft not only provides employment for households in mountainous areas but also carries forward a rich cultural heritage.

As of November 26 this year, Xinyi's bamboo-weaving exports have reached a total value of 91.94 million yuan.
