A year-long global sales campaign promoting products made in south China's Guangdong province will begin on January 15 in Foshan, a key manufacturing city in the province.
Known as the "Guangdong Goods Global Reach," the campaign will run through 2026 and is built around four seasonal phases—spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each phase will focus on one of Guangdong's major industries. The spring edition, to be launched in Foshan, will highlight home appliances, as the city is a major production base for the sector. Later phases will feature mobile phones, clothing and food products.
The campaign is represented by a striking poster featuring a large, three-dimensional red Chinese character "廣" (Guang), a shorthand for Guangdong. The hollowed-out character is filled with images that mix modern industry and traditional culture, including robots, home appliances and cars, as well as landmarks like the Canton Tower, lion dance costumes, traditional buildings, and local fruits and cuisine.
