Guangzhou's Nansha North Station upgrades aesthetics and comfort

Nansha North Station in Guangzhou has completed a four-month renovation, resulting in a significant upgrade in both appearance and passenger comfort. The project expanded the platform canopy, optimized passenger flow, and modernized key facilities.

According to project leads, the platform canopy was fully extended, and the lighting and wayfinding systems were significantly improved.

To alleviate peak-hour congestion caused by limited waiting space and overlapping entry and exit routes, the station adopted a streamlined "enter below, exit above" layout. Security screening was moved from the second level to the ground floor, while previously unused areas were converted into additional waiting zones. New barriers on the second level now separate arriving and departing passengers.

Passenger services were also enhanced. The ticket office was relocated to the station entrance and equipped with new self-service machines, upgraded security scanners, and electronic gates. The station plaza was revitalized with improved transfer connectivity and additional green landscaping, creating a more welcoming environment for travelers.
