Authorities in Qingyuan, Guangdong province, have called off their earthquake emergency measures following a minor tremor. The 4.3-magnitude quake struck near Yuanchen Town at 6:48 pm local time on Monday, approximately 10 km below ground.

After activating its lowest-tier emergency response, the city's earthquake command coordinated relief efforts with local agencies. No damage to infrastructure, power supplies, or transport networks has been reported, and no injuries occurred among the area's residents.
The China Earthquake Networks Center and the Guangdong Earthquake Agency jointly assessed further significant quakes as unlikely. At 4:00 pm on Tuesday, authorities formally ended the emergency phase.
Work crews will continue safety inspections across Qingyuan under standard disaster protocols. The public has been advised to follow routine preparedness guidelines.
