Huizhou sees 7.6% growth in foreign trade in first four months

According to customs statistics, Huizhou's import and export volume reached 129.84 billion yuan in the first four months of this year, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 7.6%. Among this total, exports were 70.17 billion yuan, up 5.6%, while imports amounted to 59.67 billion yuan, up 9.9%.

During this period, Huizhou experienced significant growth in general trade and notable expansion in trade by private enterprises. Trade volumes with its top five trading partners recorded increases, with electromechanical products accounting for over 70% of total trade.

In the first four months, Huizhou's general trade rose by 27.8% to 63.49 billion yuan, making up 48.9% of total trade. Private enterprises contributed 62.43 billion yuan in trade, up 17.6%, while foreign-invested enterprises reported 63.93 billion yuan, up 7.5%.

Regarding trading partners, the top five were China's Taiwan Province, ASEAN, the EU, South Korea, and the United States, with combined trade reaching 75.66 billion yuan, all showing growth. Specifically, the city's trade with South Korea soared by 52.3% to 11.79 billion yuan.

In terms of product categories, Huizhou exported 55.24 billion yuan worth of electromechanical products, up 8%, which accounted for 78.7% of total exports. Imports of such products reached 44.77 billion yuan, up 11.7%, making up 75% of total imports.
