Maoming's Dianbai exports over 2,600 tons of processed lychee to global markets

As the lychee harvest season nears its end in late June, Dianbai District in Maoming City, Guangdong Province, has achieved remarkable export results. By June 23, the district had exported and processed over 2,600 tons of lychee, which were shipped to Japan, Australia, Canada, the UK, and other international markets.

Dianbai, a central lychee-producing area in Maoming, boasts a cultivation area of approximately 360,000 mu (24,000 hectares) and a total output of around 210,000 tons this year, far more than last harvest.

As of June 23, sales had reached nearly 200,000 tons, meeting expected targets. Notably, customized orders through e-commerce platforms, agri-tourism collaborations, and corporate supply chains totaled 1,927 tons, generating revenue of 27.94 million yuan.

Dianbai has leveraged cultural and tourism fairs to secure purchase agreements with enterprises in Chengdu, Sichuan, and Changsha, Hunan. Additionally, lychee companies actively participated in provincial and municipal trade fairs in Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and other regions, establishing a solid foundation for sales expansion.
