The economy of China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) maintained steady growth in the third quarter of 2025, with gross domestic product (GDP) up by 8.0 percent year-on-year in real terms, according to preliminary data recently released by the SAR's Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).
Macao's GDP in the cited period reached 103.86 billion patacas, the DSEC said, representing 92.6 percent of the economic output recorded in the same period of 2019.
The census service noted that total exports of services increased by 10.5 percent year-on-year, fuelled by a 13.6 percent rise in visitor arrivals.
It also revealed that for the first three quarters of 2025, Macao's GDP increased by 4.2 percent to 301.33 billion patacas, equivalent to 88.4 percent of the level recorded in the same period of 2019.
