The 2026 Zhanjiang Cultural Tourism Consumption Promotion Event & Water Sports Carnival will kick off at Jinsha Bay on May 1. Rooted in Zhanjiang's premium coastal resources, the event is designed as a comprehensive gala that integrates competitions, public experience, cultural tourism consumption, and folk performances.
At Jinsha Bay Coastal Leisure Tourist Area, basic teaching and experience sessions for stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking will be available. Professional coaches will offer hands-on guidance for visitors to enjoy fun water activities. Tourists can make reservations online in advance or join the on-site waiting list to participate.

As a coastal city at the southernmost tip of the Chinese mainland, Zhanjiang is home to a "marine Great Wall" formed by approximately 666.67 hectares of mangroves and vast blue sea and silver beaches stretching for thousands of miles. Local oysters are fresh, plump, tender and sweet, among which Guandu oysters enjoy the highest reputation. This May Day holiday, tourists are welcome to Zhanjiang to enjoy the seaside carnival and savor delicious fresh oysters.
