As summer temperatures rise in Guangdong Province, lotuses in ponds across Zhuhai are coming into bloom, offering residents and visitors a refreshing seasonal escape.

At Jinglin Agriculture Lotus Root Industry Demonstration Base (璟林农业莲藕产业示范基地) in Pingsha Town, a 26,000-square-meter lotus wetland stretches across the landscape. Visitors can stroll along the banks and enjoy fields of green leaves dotted with pink and jade-white blossoms. Huafa Aquatic Wetland Park (华发水郡湿地公园) is also welcoming its summer lotus season, drawing local residents eager to enjoy the flowers and escape the heat. 

From shy pink buds to fully opened blossoms, these "fairies of the water" add a peaceful, poetic charm to the bustling city.

Travel tips:

Zhuhai's lotus season runs from June to late August. For the best views, you are advised to visit before noon, when the blossoms are in full bloom. In the afternoon, the flowers gradually close their petals. These summer viewing spots are open to the public free of charge.
