2025 China (Guangzhou) Cross-Border E-Commerce Trade Fair to showcase wider global participation

The 2025 China (Guangzhou) Cross-Border E-Commerce Trade Fair is set to take place from August 15-17 in Guangdong's capital, Guangzhou, surpassing previous editions in scale, exhibitor quality, and international participation.

With over 1,000 premium suppliers, 40 leading cross-border e-commerce platforms, and nearly 200 ecosystem service providers attending the fair, it promises to be a significant event.

Top e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, SHEIN, Temu, Walmart, and AliExpress, will expand their presence alongside more than 40 emerging market e-commerce platforms from Latin America (Mercado Libre, JoomPro), Africa (JUMIA, Kikuu), Europe (OTTO, Rakuten, Allegro), and Southeast Asia (Shopee, Lazada), reflecting the fair's global appeal.

Twenty-one cities will showcase Guangdong specialty industries, covering lighting, apparel, shoes, appliances, toys, ceramics, jewelry, and hardware.

Innovative features at this year's fair include the debut of a Social Media Pavilion hosting official teams from TikTok Shop, Kwai, and YouTube, along with authorized partners from Meta, LinkedIn, and Facebook. The AI Innovation Zone will demonstrate cutting-edge applications for international trade, offering solutions for AI-powered copywriting, instant store building, and automated social media management. Attendees will also benefit from services provided by 12 compliance specialists offering legal, testing, and certification support for global market entry.

Cross-border e-commerce has rapidly developed as an innovative business model in China's foreign trade sector. According to recent data released by the General Administration of Customs, China's total import and export value of goods trade reached 21.79 trillion yuan in the first half of 2025, marking a 2.9% year-on-year increase. Notably, China's cross-border e-commerce transactions in the first half of 2025 accounted for approximately 1.32 trillion yuan, growing at 5.7% and continuing to outpace the overall growth rate of national foreign trade.

As China's leading province for foreign trade and cross-border e-commerce, Guangdong reported a total cross-border e-commerce import and export value of 745.4 billion yuan in 2024, representing over one-third of the country's total.
