Argentine model Raul frequently travels to different cities for fashion photoshoots. Upon arriving in Lechang, Guangdong, he was captivated by a local football-themed guesthouse.
The guesthouse was originally a school. After a larger, newer school was built, the site was repurposed into a homestay. Lechang is known as the "Hometown of Water Chestnuts" and is the largest producer of water chestnuts in Guangdong. Raul thought they looked like potatoes but tasted like apples. He also vividly described the effect of eating water chestnuts as similar to "eating lychees to clear internal heat."
