The artists taking part in the APEC Vision, Guangdong Impressions program continued their five-day Guangdong tour on Tuesday (July 28), with a visit to Shaoguan, a city in northern Guangdong, known for its rich cultural heritage, natural landscapes and growing industries.
The illustrators and comic artists explored the city's orchid industry, Hakka heritage and Danxia landscape, gaining a deeper understanding of how local industries, traditions and nature shape the region's identity.
The five-day program has brought together eight illustrators and comic artists from different APEC economies. After completing the tour, the artists will create works based on their experiences in Guangdong and their finished artworks will be presented at an offline exhibition this September.
