The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference kicked off in south China's Hainan Province on March 25. Nearly 2,000 representatives from over 60 countries and regions are attending the four-day event.
On the second day of the forum, Esko Aho, the former Prime Minister of Finland, talked about cooperation between Finland and Asian countries. He highlighted opportunities in different regions in China and potential for cooperation with Guangdong. He is optimistic about the overall circumstances and the future.
In the 1980s, Esko paid his first visit to China. Over the decades, he has made numerous visits to various parts of China and witnessed the reform and opening-up.
He attended the Imperial Springs International Forum in Guangzhou in December 2023. He praised the progress on reform and opening-up and the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with opportunities for global trade.
