The Teochew-dialect family drama "Dear You" has taken more than 67 million yuan ($9.3 million) at the overseas box office.
The film has topped Malaysia's 2026 Chinese-language film chart and Singapore's 2026 Asian film box office chart.
Singapore recently added 100 Teochew-dialect screenings, bringing the approved total to more than 172. The previous benchmark for a Chinese dialect film in the country was 28 screenings, for the Cantonese original version of "The Last Dance."
