The Asia-Pacific Media Forum will open on September 5 in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, as the country hosts a series of events under the 2026 APEC "China Year."
The forum is themed "Building a Path to Shared Prosperity for the Asia-Pacific Community: Media Consensus and Action."
Prior to the forum, participating guests are visiting cities in Guangdong, including Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Zhongshan.
On September 3, during a visit to Dongguan, Aman ul Haq, Controller of International Relations at Pakistan Television Corporation Limited, responded to claims of a so-called "China shock." He noted: "It is not a shock. You can say that it is shocking when you see this modernization, but it is an opportunity for the world. It is very important to replicate these things. China has an inclusive approach. In the future, you will see that the whole region will be developed from this Chinese experience."
