The Asia-Pacific Media Forum opened on Sept. 5 in Shenzhen, bringing together voices from across the region to discuss growth, prosperity and solutions to global challenges. In a video address, Melissa Fleming, UN Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications, said the media plays a central role in these conversations, noting that responsible media coverage is more than engaging content, it is a vital public service that can rebuild trust and help humanity overcome obstacles to progress.
