The "Protect Turtles and Experience the Beauty of Huizhou" photo exhibition was held from May 26 to 31, 2026, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
At the event, Datuk Lee Sung Choy PMW, president of Selangor and Federal Territory Fui Chiu Association, invited people from around the world to visit Huizhou and enjoy its famous delicacies. Dato' Lau Chee Kheong, president of the Federation of Fui Chiu Associations Malaysia and president of Penang Fooi Chew Association, expressed his hope that Penang and Huizhou could establish a sister-city relationship.
The exhibition also sparked interest among local visitors. Members of the Malaysian Chinese community praised Huizhou as an attractive travel destination, while a Malaysian child said she hoped to visit Huizhou one day to see the sea turtles there.
