On September 5, Dmitrii Gornostaev, Deputy Director General of Rossiya Segodnya, made a speech at the Asia-Pacific Media Forum. He cited the recent arrival of the first Chinese container vessel at the port of Murmansk via Russia's Northern Sea Route as an example, noting that this is a brand-new and more cost-effective shipping route for commercial vessels. It is expected to reshape the economic landscape of shipping in the Asia-Pacific region. He also revealed that Sputnik plans to open a second editorial center in China, to be located in Shenzhen, and to launch short-video and cultural exchange projects focusing on young Chinese audiences.
