Pakistani Minister: the CPEC prosperity deserves accurate coverage rather than sowing doubt

On September 5, the Asia-Pacific Media Forum kicked off in Shenzhen, Guangdong. The theme for this year is "Building a Path to Shared Prosperity for the Asia-Pacific Community: Media Consensus and Action."

Shezra Mansab Ali Khan Kharal, Minister of State, Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Pakistan, noted at the forum that as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) enters its 2.0 phase, the focus is shifting from roads and power plants to exports, technology transfer, and job creation for the youth—a prosperity that is "visible, measurable, and felt by ordinary citizens."

She stressed that this prosperity deserves accurate, sustained, and thoughtful media coverage, free from speculation or doubt‑sowing narratives.
