South Africa looks to Shenzhen for innovation and investment opportunities

South African Deputy President Paul Mashatile led a delegation to the Go Global Service Center in Shenzhen on June 25, where government officials and business representatives explored opportunities for trade, investment, and technology cooperation.

During the visit, South African representatives highlighted Shenzhen's strengths in innovation and technology, and expressed interest in attracting Chinese investment in areas such as the automotive sector, renewable energy, and battery and fuel technologies.

The visit came as China implemented a zero-tariff policy for 53 African countries with which it has diplomatic relations, creating new opportunities for China-Africa trade and adding momentum to business exchanges.
