Langtou Village: The new face of rural China

Poor, messy, with ruins. Many still picture Chinese ancient villages this way. Langtou Village in Guangzhou, however, proves them wrong.

As the First APEC Senior Officials' Meeting and related meetings (SOM1) are being held in Guangzhou from February 1 to 10, South reporter joined a group of officials who are attending the SOM1 on a visit to the nearly 700-year-old Langtou Village to see how China's rural revitalization has turned it into a lively community with restored architecture, exhibitions, and cultural centers.
