Argentine writer: Latin America exhibition seen as boost for China-Global South dialogue

The 2026 Southern China Book Fair kicked off in Guangzhou on August 27. This year, the APEC Cultural Pavilion was set up for the first time, showcasing diverse cultures from APEC economies.

Salvador Marinaro, an Argentine scholar and writer, told South that he was very happy to see that Latin America had a special exhibition at this event. He believed that this was a very good opportunity to enhance the dialogue between China and Latin America, and between China and the Global South.

Marinaro thought this was not only part of the APEC "China Year". and described this kind of event as an important framework to improve and deepen understanding between their cultures.
