From October 31 to November 2, Foshan's Nanhai District hosted the 2026 Themed World Conference of Nanhai District and Overseas Investment Promotion Conference. The event drew 450 overseas Chinese from more than 20 countries and regions across five continents, who came to their hometown to share their affection for their native place.
The three-day event paired homecoming with business outreach. On the afternoon of October 31, the investment promotion conference and seven trade matchmaking sessions were held. A number of deals and agreements were reached on site: Nanhai launched its Merchant Network Map; seven overseas Nanhai chambers of commerce were inaugurated; industrial projects and go-global service deals were signed; nine Nanhai city promotion ambassadors were appointed; and the first 31 "Nanhai Family Members" social service projects were adopted.
