Traditional Chinese opera is heading underwater in Guangzhou, where performers will stage a series of classic pieces inside an aquarium during the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays.
The underwater show, "Deep-Sea Chinese Opera" (《深海国戏》), will open to the public at Grandview Aquarium on September 25. Performers will present acts including Sichuan Opera face-changing, Peking Opera martial arts and "The Drunken Concubine" while submerged in water.
