At the 2025 Understanding China Conference on December 1, former president of Ethiopia, Mulatu Teshome, noted that China's rapid progress in high-end equipment manufacturing as a force is poised to shape the future of human civilization.
Mulatu Teshome pointed out that fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, electric vehicles, and advanced manufacturing are areas where Chinese innovation is setting new global benchmarks.
"China's development of automation in manufacturing, fully autonomous artificial intelligence and manufacturing hubs could become a global model," he observed, noting that such systems promise to significantly boost efficiency and potentially lower costs.
The 2025 Understanding China Conference is being held from November 30 to December 2, welcoming approximately 200 delegates from 72 countries and regions to explore Chinese modernization.
