Foshan is a historic city in southern China. Every autumn, its streets come alive with a folk parade dating back nearly 600 years. This is the Foshan Qiuse Parade!
This year, the coolest thing is how traditional culture comes to life. Guardian gods from traditional Chinese woodblock prints are joining the parade for the first time. And there's a giant lettuce-shaped float inspired by Crossing Tongji Bridge, a local tradition.
However, traditional culture doesn't have to be old-fashioned. It can be cool, creative and even futuristic.
And there's more. This parade celebrates more than just Foshan's culture. Performers from across China are bringing their own local traditions to the streets. Different cultures come together here, showing just how open and welcoming Foshan is.
If you want to discover a more vibrant and diverse side of China, come and experience Foshan for yourself!
