Would you wear jeans for outdoor activities? In Xintang, located in the eastern part of Guangdong's capital city, Guangzhou, a South reporter discovered a kind of jeans designed specifically for outdoor use.
As light as a smartphone, with sun protection, cooling, and quick-drying functions, "Travel Jeans," as they are called, feel extremely lightweight and unrestrictive, allowing you to run, do yoga, and stretch freely—just as comfortable as sportswear.
Xintang is known as the Denim Capital of the World. About the size of Manhattan, this denim capital accounts for one in every three pairs of jeans worldwide, shipping 2.5 million pairs of jeans every day. There are cutting-edge high-end fabrics such as recycled denim from sea waste, silk denim, and cashmere denim, along with trendy designs and efficient production and delivery.
In this episode, a South reporter takes you deep into Xintang's denim blocks to test these ultra-light jeans. Watch the video and see if you'll choose them over sweatpants for your outdoor adventures this summer!
